I had this goofy idea a long time ago for a Super Mario comic where all the different Hammer Bro types from SMB3 were the main antagonists, in addition to all the regular baddies. The idea would be that they were like sergeants in Koopa’s army, ordering the smaller guys like Troopas and Goombas around, but would always get hassled by the Koopalings or Boom-Booms, because that’s just how things work. I never followed through with it, but it would have been fun to do I think.

Mostly because every single Super Mario comic has sucked ass except for that one in Nintendo Power based on Super Mario World. That one was tits.
