Got another one done. Shit's easy when I don't have to color.
Here's some more police brutality from the "Occupy Wall Street" protests yesterday in NYC:

God forbid you exercise your civic right/duty to protest the fuckers who tanked this country's economy. :P

[DISCLAIMER: I do NOT actually advocate any of what is done in the comic to be done in real life. If you do, you are a dumbass who should be locked up. This is an artistic experiment to see if I can draw a yiff comic that deals with social issues that evolve from police brutality, and equally brutal tactics that are used by anti-establishment extremists. The Occupy Wall Street protests are being ridiculously under-reported in the media. Most of the articles I've seen are just about how the protesters were "blocked," but they ignore the amount of people there, and they're certainly ignoring the people being brutally arrested.
Just about every instance of police brutality, especially in a protest atmosphere, is under-reported. In fact, if they have to report at all, they usually do a short piece on the more outlandish elements of the protest (if any mention at all), to counter any effect that the protesters may have had.
I got to witness the 2004 IMF/World Bank protests in Washington DC. I saw people getting the shit beaten out of them by cops, for practicing their first amendment rights. When I got home to watch it on the news, there was absolutely nothing about the way the police mishandled the situation. This goes all the way back to the infamous police riots at the DNC in Chicago in 1968. Or even further, when then national guard was called to DC after WWI to quell the veteran's protests at not getting paid for fighting in the war. Quite a few veterans were killed then. You sure don't hear about that now.
This is the USA, and this is, unfortunately, how it's always been.

And don't forget about the Royal Wedding and some new Hollywood starlet having a baby or getting arrested! That's important stuff.
The media in the US in recent history really just makes me sad. The reporters aren't actually reporting; they're just reading off a card things that they were told to say. There's a few exceptions (Anderson Cooper is a decent journalist and Al-Jazeera deserves a mention) but the news today isn't about what's important. It's about what they think people "need to know."
Did you know Fox recently censored a joke Alec Baldwin made at the Emmys about Rupert Murdoch? Kind of off-topic, but sort of a branched off tangent. How creepy is it that they just do that without hesitation? Bah.

Heh heh, goes to show how much TV I've watched recently (next to none). There have been a few good outbursts from news people (Dylan Ratigan's on MSNBC a few weeks ago was pretty nice). I just watched an Al-Jazeera special on the people who bombed the wold economy, it was pretty good. There'll always be a few good people who manage to try and challenge the mainstream media bullshit, but as for the rest of it, well, it's all just a bunch of bread and circuses to keep the people fat, dumb and happy while they get plundered by the predators in power. That's why the US's riots will come last.
But when they do, and they will, oh shit... The return of the repressed. And it won't be pretty.

You seem to've reached the same conclusions I have. There's a few alternatives, but the chances of those actually being viable in today's society is so slim. It's already coming to a head in many areas and although it goes unreported, I don't think it goes unnoticed. Which is a scary notion in itself.
It's sad and surprising how few people see through the bullshit, though. Even when you lay it all out for them, there are a lot of people who'll stick their fingers in their ears and "lalala" 'til they're blue in the face. It's frustrating how common that is.
Anyway, I'll stop rambling in your comments! I like this comic.

At this point, many people feel so hopeless that the only way it's going to end is with mass riots. These, of course, will be quelled with greater and greater police brutality, especially from the new crowd control devices. Make no mistake, they're bringing Iraq and Afghanistan home to us. They're already used LRAD sound cannons to break up college block parties (there's a vid for another page), and I wouldn't be surprised if they haul out the microwave trucks at some point too, or start using the new Taser shotguns. There's also been talk of using ink guns that were developed in South Africa. They dye you purple (they call it "purple rain" :p), and arrest you later.
There doesn't seem to be a great deal of options available, aside from rioting or destroying electronic infrastructure, but there is one thing to be optimistic about. That is, of course, of the inevitable incompetence that is always eventually displayed by the people in power, and their goons in blue (or black, since they've been militarized in the 2000's).
The main option that we, the people, have if it ever gets down to a true revolution, is to use their tactics against them. Not that I officially advocate that, in my case, I'll just make a fairly unpopular comic on FA to vent my anger at these fat, pathetic, sad fuckers that call themselves cops, but who in reality are just domestic terrorists.
But anyway, blah blah blah, I'm all worked up because I haven't smoked any weed in a week or two, so I'll just leave it at that before I say something stupid and get the feds on my case, not that the government really gives a shit about this site, anyway. :P
But feel free to ramble, I enjoy having conversations about controversial things on furry sites, since a lot of furries are too detached from the real world to ever give a shit about this kind of stuff. :D
Glad you like the comic! :3

The microwave trucks scare me. I knew about the purple rain, and I've seen the LRADs used, but if I never see one of those massive microwave "guns," I'll be happy. Just the thought of what it does to your skin and the moisture in it wigs me out something fierce.
Aw, man, lack of weed will make a fellow cranky. I understand completely. I'm a dick when I don't have it.
I mostly covered the things I was going to say in my other comment elsewhere, so I think I'll just wrap this one up. You're a pretty nifty person to talk to! Keep up the comic work.
