Adramelech wasn't the average Bear. That much was a given. If you were around him for very long then you'd know how awkward he was. How cold he seemed to be towards people. It wasn't necessarily his own fault. He wasn't Human after all. He doesn't have the cultural knowledge the general populous have. The only interaction he has with the Humans is when he's marking a soul or taking it. This leaves very little time to get to know how they work and operate. Adramelech doesn't have the benefit of a television so he isn't able to siphon culture from it.
The only person whom he can relate to and be taught by is her.
Vempyremon.
She'd taught him so much after so little time together. Before they met his memory was destroyed by his advanced age, Adramelech was only able to remember what his mission was, he had no reason to remember anything else. After his encounter with Vempyremon however, she gave him a reason to start remembering again. Once the two were separate, Adramelech would feel deflated and pointless. But eventually they would reunite and everything would make sense again.
He knew nothing of relationships but he was aware enough to know that what they had was special. Each time they were together after however much time had passed between the two meetings, Adramelech felt they were closer. Eventually he began to touch her randomly seeming to use this as a way to remember the past. His past. Vempyremon responded to his touch with a shiver.
Doing only what he felt was natural, Adramelech approached Vempyremon from behind, his hands looped around her middle, holding her as his body pressed into hers. His neat hair fell in front of his face as he pressed his lips to her neck and for the first time, tasted her. He felt her hand touch his shoulder, caressing it gently.
He did not see the smile on her face.
I really, really like this one. For more than the obvious reasons. It's a DfD from shin0r0z so naturally it looks very pretty. I like it because it shows how I feel about a certain someone. I know it's a very cheesy thing to say and I cringed writing it but it's the truth and I can't start lying to myself about things I know to be true. This piece means more to me personally than a lot of the others in my gallery.
Enjoy.
