Pandammit~ And last one of the day, hurray! :'D Perhaps I'm extremely biased (NEVER), but this sort of blue is one of my favorite colors. <3

Thanks very much! :'D
The black *and* blue were actually both done with the Faber-Castell Pitt artist pens (one was black, the other cobalt green "big brush"... which to me looks like blue/teal). Very, very nice markers... I recommend them, although since they're indian ink they don't seem to be quite as blendable like alcohol-based copics. :0

I have tried them out when the line was new, and a lot of hues were lacking, and yes, they aren't really blendable. I'm not sure what's the base, but they don't smell... possibly water?
these days I use the black fine point, and the sepia points, and the light grey brush. unfortunately they don't offer the sepia hues as brush, I want to experiemnt with them.
and then there is silver and gold with 1.5mm tips, which aren't gel, but more like real paint. paint enough to serve for metallic accents on model cars. :)

They're indian ink, so I think the base is water as well. X'D But yes... the local art shop I go to has all the sepia hues (and most other colors) in different brush pens... maybe check it out online? They should definitely have them by this point.
Ooooh, so that's what those gold/silvers were. X'D I didn't like how it looked on paper, but if it was a model paint pen then I guess that solves the mystery~

they tend to bleed a little bit on most papers, unlike gel pens, so that's why they don't look as good, or as obvious. they are probably menat for special papers, or like, acrylic paintings where they can't bleed anymore. Faber has sometimes curious ideas as of what media to offer for arting... I believe they sometimes experiment with the market demand.
I think I need to hit that art shop and order them. I want to experiment with brush inking. that one cheap writing brush suddenly dried up at one point and never worked again... did cost me about 10 dollars anyway. :P

(Let me just not botch the reply tree this time... ) Aha! It's not too faint, I can see it when I know to look for it. I'm impressed the gel pen has enough... gelliness? to cover up the artist pens. And here I'd thought you were simply so perfect as to leave those white accents untouched during the other pen passes!
Hmm, now the next step is to hover over your journals waiting for you to do a few more, right?

Sometimes it takes a bit of blotting or going over, but gel pens are pretty handy for times like those. X'D
Haha, yup! I'll definitely be doing more of these linearts... they're pretty fun~ Once I finish a speedpainting I've been working on (probably tomorrow), I'll re-open for a few more slots.

true!
panhesekielshiroi offers simple-looking linearts, too, and at one point I talked her into colouring a comission for me. the result was definitely worth it. :)

I have to agree with you, this sort of blue is one of my favorite colors as well. :D Are you using a brush pen for those really thick lines, btw? I picked one up but I've been too depressed to play around with it. >>; And what kind of gel pens do you use? I went to ACMoore and they didn't fucking have any - I was really hoping I wouldn't have to order from Jerry's to get 'em.
