My band of characters is slowly increasing. Lemme try to run down a few of them:
Deravon: fiery armor guy, super big bad guy. He reminds me of that one boss on FF2 (US) that has the fire cloak...that dude was a beeeotch!
Jovias: Goat archer and all around evil henchman
Ran: A simple swordsman and artist. VERY bishie, as I see it.
Ajoura: I don't know much about this guy, but he keeps turning up. I foresee lost love and painful memories haunting him.
Shun Lo: The only female of this group (I have to do at least one.) I'm not 100% sure I like the braids, but the rest of this character was a blast to flesh out. Someone suggested an avian. I said "sure!" Phoenix power GO!
Any other suggestions? I do need a few more male characters to balance out my bevy of beauties, my stable of sweethearts, my...umm... crap. HAWT!
And just a note: If you're just joining us, BCW is the game I *would* make if I could really devote myself to doing it. There aren't enough RPGs or anthro-based characters in games, so I thought I would offer up my spriteing expertise to the cause. I've got this rough idea of how I see it going, but I'm not sure I'd ever have the time to work on it. But sprites are fun to make and since I can't get any decent pics out on paper, I make these in the mean time.

Very Cool :) Definatly would love to have Shun in my adventuring group any day!
As for male type characters, you looking for good guys or bad guys? Might be interesting to have a goo-based character or two. Something that looks humanoid, but who's body is semi-transparent. Or mabey something spectral based.

*Sighs* Dude, I have not forgotten the holy mission foretold in Chapter XXIII of Book XII of how to hit on herm chicks in your official bible scripted by some dude high on sleep deprivation.
That mission being, writing up character descriptions for the commission that I want you to do badly.
Long story short, life at work has been wrought with betrayals and other drama that has inspired me.
I have an idea for a couple of male characters for you. I would have said something before but drama was strangling me while depression was eating all my gawd damn chocolate ice cream.
By the way, awesome sprite work as always.

Don't worry about it. I wasn't directing the comment directly at you, to be direct. Besides, I know that horrible stench of Drama. It smells of like the retch of a torrid ox, bowels spewn askance and askew.
I should probably stop making characters and start making animations for the characters that I have. These more complex sprites might require disassembly to make them more simple to animate.
Hmmmm, yes...yes! Or no. Not sure really. I technically shouldn't even be working on them. I should be working on Lily Blue. Well, actually, I should be getting all the stuff put away in the new homestead, but I'm scruffy nerf-herder.

Well in adventure stories I love to read, there is always the mysterious Spiritual Guide, sometimes a God or a Goddess, a wizard or a witch, or just a simple wise man or woman, sometimes they travel together, or the spiritual guide only comes to the hero's aid when they desperately need them either to help solve riddles, or in a boss fight.
The kind I like most are the ones who you never really know who they are (at least not until the end) and their faces are lost under the shadows of their hoods or hats.
At one point or another though, the spiritual guide must go, but their influence upon the hero may stay.
Like with Obi won Kannobee, and Luke Skywalker. Won died, but his influence stayed with him.
Okay I need to stop this before I start a novel somehow...
These are really beautiful sprites, I'd love to see my own character in there, but I know that's only wishful thinking... ^.=.^

Ahhh, the venrible lynch-pin plot point character. The Gandalf, the FuSoYa, I'm runnin' out of references...But I do see where you're going with it. If I had much story fleshed out, I'd have myself quite a band of characters. I probably need to go read another book or tweleve. The last series I read was interesting but all about sex and mysteries.
There is also the powerful servent of the Dark Lord you could make.
Like Darth Vader to the Emperor, or Saruman the White Waizzard, to Sarron the Lord of the Rings...
The powerful servent may be the back bone to the Lord's power, or be of grate aid.
Like for example, when Vader reverted to the good side of the force, the Emperor fell from power and to his death, or like When Sarumon was defeated, it made the hope of winning the war much grater!
Key characters, help with a story a lot!
