It's pretty interesting game, but reminds me to much of Gears.

I think the battlecry of choice here is "Eat Chainsword!" (If you ever played Dawn of War, you'll be hearing assault marines scream that as they tear through units). :3

Never played DoW, but in Space Marine you can perform "Fatalityes" using melee weapons, in one of those the ork eats your chainsword, licterally, and then takes a kick on the face to blow up what's left of it's head ^^

My only main gripe would be why didn't they include Dark Eldar in the game (the poor guys don't get alot of exposure in the games and a bunch of them raiding a Forgeworld would have been an interesting way to break up the Waaagh! and Traitor Legion fun which you seem in almost any Warhammer 40K game) - the other being mostly a nitpick on the size of the lascannon and plasma cannon. :P

IMO, Soulstorm ruined DoW1. The Bolter Bitches and Spandex Pansies are my two least-favorite armies. I'm glad they were left out of DoW2.

I think what messed up Soulstorm more was the bugs and air units (especially the poor Maraurder bomber) - I find the Dark Eldar units fun to use (sadly it was a few years too early for the 5th Ed. codex with Trueborn, Chronus Torture enginges and heat lanced-armed Reavers). Personally though I'm waiting to see how far the Firestorm over Kaurava mod goes (which will removed the air units and make the Inquisition/Ecclesiarchy as a seperate faction...and add a Blood Angels doctrine).
