I started up this image over summer break and just haven't gotten around to finishing it. So as it stands it is a wip that is on hold. Nothing is at the finished stage on this image, not the head, not the body, arms, etc. Tho some are closer than others obviously.
Lots to do still and as for the look of this one I wasn't sure if I wanted to try and go as realistic as possible or more of my normal painting style. (ie. make it look like fur not just paint strokes)
The plan from the start however was to do this more realistically than my norm. The face was obviously referenced because feline faces give me so much freaking trouble. Even more trouble if it's a straight shot of the face and not side or 3/4th.
Oh and that nipple will probably go away when I paint more.

Sometimes “finishing” a picture is over-working it. Sometimes the raw energy in a worked on drawing conveys a lot more to the viewer's emotions than a polished work where every single strand of fur is perfectly in place.
As it stands you have given him a heart-touching expression of prayer-filled devotion that is simply beautiful.
As for his nipple -- until you mentioned it it was no more important than any one of his fingers or palm pads. He is wearing a robe that drapes over just one of his shoulders and so one of his nipples shows -- so what?!
