Sooooo, I recently found out how to adapt the smudge brush in CS3 to act more like a soft blender from Painter (my favorite tool).
As much as I love painter and its abilities, I hate that it takes me 15-20 mins to save my work; so Ive been looking for a way to leave it behind----voila.
So this shows what I've done with the knowledge. The differences will be minor to any casual observer--but the work I do usually is. Best seen side by side on of the previous images, if anyone cares that much.
As always, hints, tips, critique, etc.
