Took this picture from my professor's studio.
On the left is the Soprano Eb Clarinet, the little sister and smallest clarinet in the clarinet family.
But can make quite a loud noise. LOL
On the right is a standard Bb Clarinet.
Just got assigned to play Eb for "Symphonie Fantastique" by Hector Berlioz and it the Eb Clarinet is bad-ass! I love this baby clarinet. so cute and tiny! *squeals*
Later I post the mp3 sample of it once i get the solo down pretty well.

a Bb clarinet is what i played all throughout my early years!
after a long stretch of moog doodling a grabbed a guitar and have been doing that for about 4 years or so, it's the lowest maintenance classical instrument i've seen! i remember the fucking rigmarole surrounding clarinet maintenance, and all the spit!

when i was in highschool, my Bb was named Virgil and the Eb Dante.
we totally do have the same clarinet, except your keys are obviously either solid silver or very recently re-plated.
mine need re plated so bad. you can see the coppery pink color on most of my keys. eeeeee.
