Omigod he's tiny, REALLY tiny XD; Is he even old enough to be taken away from his mother? Either way though, he's adorable <3 Dem ears.

The pet store said he was old enough, he eats on his own and drinks on his own, so hopefully he is okay. He is going to be a hairless rat, so he looks younger then he is cause he is bald.

Pet stores aren't always completely honest. He'll be fine away from his mother, but you should REALLY have two rats. Rats are highly social, and I've seen rats who were kept alone- you could DEFINITLY see a difference in behavior. It's always best to research an animal and not just trust a pet shop.

i got 3 of them, they will all be rat room mates, but the other 2 rats will be other peoples pets

Definitely looks too young to be away from mom - and if you got him from the pet store, he more than likely IS too young, as they try and push them out into your hands as early as possible, knowing that if it dies (usually due to being too young to be on their own), you'll go back and just buy another one.


But, in any case, he does look like an Ears. Or Dumbo. :P Or you could name him Rex, which is what he looks like (the curly whiskers are usually a sign of the rex gene).
