Dom Fluttershy is totally almost exactly how I was the only time I've ever tried to humiliate/dominate someone. Except I was calling him a sissy and telling him I'd dress him in a pink skirt and make him crawl around town on a leash so everyone could see what a nasty bitch he is.

Better than a bitchy dom that doesn't actually care about you, if you ask me. I think most people into real, serious BDSM and humiliation would disagree, but I like the idea of the top breaking character every great once in a while with a "hey, how's this working for you?"
With my dom and I, we can tell by eye contact and body language, plus we have a "slow down" safe word as well as an "OK STOP PLZ" safe word. We are into pretty serious stuff like breathplay, bruising, choking [til i passed out a couple times :x] and hard paddling/cropping. :P

This is just hillarious, and now that I think about it, rather fitting, considering that if what I've read is correct, people that are more timid and submissive in everyday life tend to like being domineering behind closed doors due to the psychological power exchange, as well as the natural human need for a sense of balance.
