This critter is the face behind all of my other uhm.. avatars or per/fursonas.
I don't think I've ever made a decent reference for it, and I don't draw it very often.
If you're not sure what a parandrus is, I'll give you some copypasta.
"Parandrus
Latin name: Parandrus
Other names: Tarandrus, Tharandus
A beast that can conceal itself by changing its appearance.
The parandrus is a beast from Ethiopia that can change its appearance, so that it can conceal itself by taking on the appearance of its surroundings. It is colored like a bear, but is the size of an ox and has long hair. It has the head of a stag with branching horns, and has cloven hoofs."
Of course, I took MASSIVE artistic liberty with the description and here you have a pale, deer-like animal covered in long hair. I sometimes draw it with lightening or static or even fire, as a reference to the demon Furfur.
My parandrus is a shape-shifter of epic proportions, taking the form of bats, unicorns, sheep, beasts-- anything and everything.
Gender is not consistent, but if drawn anthropomorphic, it's generally female.
I chose a parandrus some time ago.. because I've often been told that if I were to be any animal, I would likely be a deer. And since I'm endlessly fickle about how I want to represent myself, I decided on a creature that is not only deer-like but can also change itself willingly.
Yup. P: Kudos if you read all of that pointless drabble.
