Remember the picture I drew of Fluff Catt & The Rock Kittens from earlier this month? This new one depicts an earlier performance by the animated glam rock band Fluff Catt & The Rock Kittens, playing at a small but intimate venue somewhere on their home planet.
In case you can't tell who is which, Fluff is on the bass (and a beasting double-necked bass at that!) with Gemma Mildury (keyboards), Damien Mildury (drums), Rekki G Dini (rhythm guitar) and Jimmy DaWeasel (lead guitar).
According to the Space Gypsy Adventures' creator Terry Askew, in later Rock Kittens performances Gemma would swap places with Jimmy and Rekki would get a newer and more ridiculous guitar ^^. Fluff herself is loosely based on Suzi Quatro, though I included some elements of Chrissie Hynde as well. Poor Damien can barely see over the drums, so until he gets a little taller he may well be hidden at the back for some time to come I guess!

Maybe someday Terry will include a sax player, but no doubt it would be one of the exsisting characters from the show. Gemma could nominate Damien if they get a new drummer. Her excues would probably be to keep Damien's mouth pre-ocupied instead of moaning that hardily anyone can see him on the drums. :D LOL
I'm assuming that was a 1970's glam rock group that incorporated Jazz? Well Terry is from the UK, so he wanted the group to resemble many acts from back in the day that were popular here at the time, one very influencial group was The Wombles; a group based on children's book characters where the performers wore furry suits. Another example would be the group; Animal Kwackers, also from the 70's.
Indeed. The Wombles had recentily re-released their albums on CD format here in the UK. The group was formed by Mike Batt, who was also well known for writing the song Bright Eyes for Art Garfunkel to be sung for the 1978 film; Watership Down. He also has done a couple of solo albums, musicals and other cartoon show soundtracks.
Glad you think so. The group Animal Kwackers was inspired by the Banana Splits. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_Kwackers
