Chakat Starpelt, child of Moonsong and Riversprint
This is the Chakat version of me.
It's taken a long time to get all the right pieces put together but finally my Starpelt av is complete!

You see before you a lovely adult Chakat. Hir snow leopard appearance is made unique by the fact that the coloring is inverted (black fur w/ white rosettes). Shi wears a soft leather vest with a moon and stars embroidered on the back and on the left breast. Hir figure is athletic but not lanky, and muscular but not bulky. Hir breasts are full figured, thanks to hir being a bit of an early bloomer, but they are not overly large. Shi keeps hir hair, which is jet black and straight, at waist length. Strapped across hir back is a leather sheath, inside this sheath is hir constant companion, a shakuhachi flute. Starpelt is a skilled flautist and loves to play songs that fit hir mood or the mood of hir surroundings. Hir mother, Moonsong taught hir from an early age the joys of making music. Hir Wolftaur father, Riversprint taught hir the ways of the wilderness.

Well, they haven't yet for mine posted back in May of 08, and there's one person I've got a bookmark on who has done a number of screenshots of stuff they've been doing in SL with mesh outfit stuffs (Mesh was just added within the last month or so to the main grid), so if they were going to get all over people about it, they're just being snail in molasses in winter slow about it.
Y'know, I'd heard that there was another Starpelt out there (and prolly more than that , ya never know) when I named mine, but all my research never turned anyone up (I never thought to look around on FA). I'm glad you aren't upset, and I assure you I'm certainly not trying to steal your character. My Starpelt is a musician and has not been subject to the hardships yours has. I see from your profile that you're a writer. I've been known to do a bit of wordsmithing myself. I've not gotten around to posting anything featuring my Starpelt, but it's only a matter of time. I've added you to my watchlist and you are certainly free to do the same, I'd very much like to make your acquaintance and possibly become friends.
Well I have been part of the Fandom as Starpelt since 02 didn't get on FA till much later, I spent most of my time going to a local convention that a friend of mine ran which was called PawFest My stories were featured there, I am only now starting to rewrite them in digital formats and post them up here. :) And truth be told while our characters have similar looks they are not the same, my Starpelt has blueish white spots, not plain white, And has highlights in hir hair. So while they are similar they aren't the same ^.^ Which I am perfectly fine with I look forward to becoming friends!!
I've been involved in the fandom since 03, but I'm relatively new to Chakats. A good friend of mine, :Dragonlord_Carter: introduced me to the Chakat universe and I immediately fell in love with it. I created my Starpelt in '08 and soon started getting more involved in the Chakat commnity groups on SL. Unfortunately, it took till late last year to finally get my SL avatar of hir looking the way it should. I'm hoping to be able to scratch together some spare cash eventually so I can get a proper drawing done of Starpelt because I'm sure the FA cops will nuke all the pics I've done myself eventually. I'm pretty sure I'll prolly have some writing featuring Starpelt posted before that happens tho. What's your fave CU story?
It is actually a toss up between Goldfur's Transformations Story, and The Folly which I also love :) Both are incredible, I have someone doing a picture of Starpelt right now, but I do have a few of hir stories up right now if you wish to read them I would love to hear what you think :)
Ahh, yes "Transformations" is the first one I read, and definately my fave. I liked the "Folly" series alot too. I also really loved "Midnight's Methods". I've saved the Starpelt stories you've posted to my computer just in case I don't get to read them today. I'll definitely get back to ya on them.
