Cole Westgate and Marilyn Jefferson, perhaps the two most dangerous beings in Rustboro City, fortunately are on the law's side. They both belong to a unit that keeps watch over the many gangs in the city's industrial area. When fighting as a pair, the opposing side's chances on winning are effectively cut to zero.

Before settling in Rustboro, Cole fought in the amateur league, though left quickly after meeting Marilyn, who at the time worked as freelancer bodyguard. Few years later they got married and about a year later Marilyn was pregnant. Not long after Jacob's birth they also found and adopted Isaac.

Cole began training the boys when they were seven, Marilyn joining few years later, though her training consisted more on teamwork, where as Cole honed their individual abilities.

Cole is mostly a quiet man, not speaking much. He is a simple man with simple needs and is slightly pessimistic about everything.
Marilyn is notably more talkative and outgoing. She also has a bad habit of not being able to relax or focus on anything else until everything in the room is exactly as she wants. Including Cole.
