Twist! Oh my gawd that was magnificent! I am just too hooked on this now. And GREAT work doing world-building background stuff. Now we know more about the setting and environment. Mysteries remain (like why the Cap is ok with lesbians; or how it came to be that everyone is anthro) but mysteries are good.
I understand completely about the length issue. But it's my belief that if the story isn't intriguing enough to make the reader turn the page, then it wasn't meant to be. I hope you do take the time to read at least the first two. If by then you're not interested, I would understand completely. :)
Nifty, I totally didn't see that coming! That would be pretty cool if all the sudden a hero emerged like that (had to rephrase that to avoid spoilers, why do people read these before the story? They have to scroll down and they have to know it's gonna be comments about the story, what sillyheads :P)
Things that connect pages to other pages... they're missing.
Sorry, I'm being deliberately obtuse. I mean that the links between chapters are absent on 6 and 7, and I'll also note that 5's NEXT links currently points to its own page.
Wait, I have something substantive about the story! This:
I'm smelling a setup. Meeting your childhood hero is one thing, but.... Well, 500 years is a long time, obviously. What are the chances, given that the facility was abandoned, that the last meatsicle to get thawed would immediately see somebody in said facility?
Could be wrong-ish, though. Maybe turning the place on reduced the coolant levels just enough for the single additional childhood-hero coincidence to take place. Looking forward to the next issue!
