Anywho! I had a WiP of this put up last night.. Here's the finished colour version!
The extent of my Marvel experience is the 90s cartoon and some of the more recent X-men ones.. sorta. I only know of Deadpool through people from TAFE, but he seems utterly awesome and well.. I've seen a pic of Deadpool and Pinkie Pie before. Annd.. I loved the combo, like absolutely adored.. soo.. had to draw one of my own! So here you get Deadpool and Pinkie Pie.. BOUNCIN! Cause it's fun and cool and everyone loves it!
..Pinkie Pie is.. well.. Wow. Her eyes are still off and argh.. But I got the hair right! I'm really really happy I could draw the hair.. I thought it was gonna be much harder than it was, but it wasn't! So yay!
As to the technicalities of this it took me.. Forever and I'm gonna throw heaps and heaps of thanks to Shaz (who is Silver-dynamo over on DA) who helped me with Deadpool's anatomy as.. My god. Hell. So much hell. I do NOT draw big muscle bound things.. EVER. At all. My anatomy really could do with more work and.. lah blah blah. So with much badgering Shaz was willing to help and did so! Giving me some rough works of how the muscles work in arms/legs so I could do my line work over the top. So yay and much cheers to him! Who you should obviously also go look at cause he does some awesome arts when he actually does them to. So yeah.
Anywho! Deadpool was abitch! A massive learning experience and.. OMG I do NOT like drawing characters not from tv shows. Do you know how many friggin different outfits this dude has?! References were hell! I did not realise characters were open for so much interpretations. All he really needs is red/black in that general formation, maybe wrist/ankle/neck bands.. a belt.. straps for swords in like.. any number of designs and just.. Gods Damned. Not used to such varied options for refs.. 's like that stupid metroid thing I've looked up.
Anywho! So yeah. I drew Deadpool and the pony wasn't quite -as- bad as I was expecting for my first actual MLP: FiM fanart done! Though I definately need to workon the face.. but that's what practice is for! Which'll be like.. the next week orsomething.
There's gonna be prints! Cause yeah.. I did this FOR printing.. Hopefully it comes out okay.
And on that note. Hell of a lot bigger version over on DA for obvious reasons.

For your first time drawing a Marvel character, I am very impressed!! They're tricky, from what little I've tried, and yes, with characters that have been around a while there is a -ton- of variation. Deadpool is also not one of the more "famous" characters per-say, so the artists felt a little freer to vary how they drew him I think.
But you did great!! It's obvious it's Deadpool, and you got all the major stuff in there. The only thing I could see is maybe the elbows were a little pointy, but it's not -too- noticeable.
Anyways, excellent work, I'm very impressed, and very amused, lol.

Mr Muscle man! And.. yeah. It was an.. interesting learning experience and muchly of me going ARGH. AAAAARGH. At people. Constantly. It's been my MSN status for most ofthe last week and me bitching on FB. Which has been fun. Still! He's done and I'm happy and everyone I've shown has liked him, so woo~
Yes! Pointy elbow and some of the limb muscles are a bit funky but I pretty much got to the point of 'screw it, it's good enough' and just inked it all up and colour and voila! Etc.
