Way back in 2009, I commissioned this picture to honor the love between me and my then-boyfriend, Shune. It was based on an actual real-life trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. We ended up separating soon after, and unfortunately this handsome artwork never ended up being posted.
Here it is, two years later... and I am finally posting this. I still care a lot about Shune, and I'm happy to say that recently we were able to start talking again. We're friends now, but to me, friendship is a very special kind of loyalty. After all, I'm a wolf... and I don't like to ever turn my back on one of my pack. Besides, my kid brother Rehgan really busted his tail on this one, and I really feel like he deserves to see it posted in my gallery where it belongs.
So to Rehgan, I'm sorry it took two years. Thanks for understanding that I needed time to heal and to grow.
To Shune, no matter what happened in the past, I'm proud to be your friend. Thank you for honoring me with your trust, even after all this time. The times we shared will always be special to me. I thank you for the happy memories when we were lovers, and look forward to making new memories as friends.
To the rest of my friends and family, please take this posting as a sign of healing. Shune and I shared happy times together, and I know now that there's no harm in remembering those.
And to anyone else who reads this... remember that love is a precious, priceless gift, no matter when or where. Treasure it, safeguard it, nurture it. Hold the good memories close to your heart, and be willing to forget the bad. There is beauty, peace, and happiness to be found, if only we are willing to love.

You are most welcome. We all need time to ourselves to think about what has happened to us, the beauty of all this I find is that you got over your seperation and have that kind/noble attitude to put all your past events and differences behind you and make the most out of each other by being friends rather than enemies. I just admire how you all handled it so well, truly a gift of compassion.
Some really heartfelt words there Cody. :)
I should note you, I know we're not close, but I'm going through something crazy right now, think I've met my true love and I'm falling head over heels and doing insane things all just to explore it. I have a feeling you've been there.
Anyways, great picture, nonetheless. Great feelings behind it too.

The only way for a friendship to be lost is for both friends to stop trying. So long as there is love, so long as there is hope, so long as there is concern and compassion, then there is the foundation of friendship. I wish you peace, tranquility, and happiness no matter what storms you may weather.
So glad to hear you and him are talking again. Not everybody would handle it the way you did, and one thing's for sure, you are a cowboy that shows compassion like no other cowboy (at least none I've ever known or seen). Forgive me if I start to cry here, but I was ever so touched by that last paragraph.
