toddlergirl
Details:
Name: Cuan [Kew-in]
Age: 3 1/2 years.
Species: Aardwolf (Yes, a real animal.)
Appearance:
A bit petite for his age. His fur is more faded and dull than his brethren, i.e. his stripes are closer to grey than a distinct black and the rest of his fur a more cream colored than yellow. His nose is the only part of his body that is solid black, but it fades quickly to match the rest of his fur. Like some of his kind, his fur is on the longer side, clean and straight. Unless he is scared or hunting, the mane down his back lays very flat. Like others of his species, he does have a long sticky tongue, but this is very rarely seen.
Clothing:
Typically, he can be found in a onesie of any sort, but his favorite is baby blue with a picture of a cute green grasshopper on his belly (coincidentally his favorite food).
Personality:
Exceptionally shy and almost preferring the attention of adults over the companionship of his peers. He will often do anything in his power, and limited understanding, to try and please an adult for as little as a pat on the head. This may have stemmed from being the runt of his litter and a bit bullied earlier on.
Further description:
Still in diapers and almost needing the constant attention of adults to care for him, he does not stray far from supervision. Playpens and sandboxes are two of his favorite hideaways, where he feels safe and in control of the environment. With a little coaxing and gentle persuasion, the aardwolf pup can be brought out of his shell. When he is feeling more sociable and gregarious he loves to play dress-up. He will hop in any costume to play pretend, especially if he gets to look like one of his heroes.
One particular trait that may set him aside from other toddlers similar to his mentality is that he loves bugs; Either as companions or almost always eventually as food. His species eats bugs almost exclusively, so it's not bad behavior for him to snap up a butterfly, grasshopper, or centipede without apprehension.
In this shot, Cuan is getting his picture taken for the nursery wall. He looks particularly unhappy about being told to stand alone and doesn't understand what's going on, or if he's even done something wrong. Someone may want to distract him with a bug plushie next time so he'll actually look at the camera, maybe even smile.
