You were having a big party,
I guess you had a drink.
It happened really fast,
I didnt have time to blink.
You must have had a good time,
with that smile across your face.
You shouldn't have been driving,
didn't even slow your pace.
I could of sworn you saw me,
looked me in the eye.
You laughed and slurred something,
like you didn't care I was about to die.
Why didn't I say I love you,
before I said goodbye?
Oh, how I miss my family,
now I cant even cry.
And why didnt I call him back,
for just one last hug?
Now I'll never see his face,
all because you got drunk.
I hope you had to see me,
dead there on your hood.
I hope you met my family,
and that they treat you good.
I hope you see my boy friend,
who I've never seen cry.
I hope you'll have to be there,
see him wipe all the tears from his eyes.
I hope you wont forget me,
and maybe next time you'll stop and think.
