Aw, they're cute. 'Tis a good combo. I always viewed Ditzy as the little Hermes, ferrying messages between the princesses.
Also, nice hair and shading, though I'd bump up the shadows, and throw back the background a bit more to add to the dramatic fire-lit ambiance. (that is if I'm reading the scene correctly) Also, you could make their eyes stand out more if you used black on 'em, like the show does.

Well, the colors are quite fine, but... the arms (the 2 front legs of both ponies) are 'quite' thin, no ?
