well, it was making its web over my back door, so i had to remove it from its home. ; 3; i took it inside because i love looking at them. > u< i do feel bad though because i think its dying. ; n; when i let it back outside, it didnt move very fast. . n. anyway, i suppose it technically wasnt inside my house until i put it there. xDD;;
well, technically i brought it into my house to look at it, so it was only in my house after i brought it there. xD;; it was making its house over the opening of my back door, and i have a dog that's blind, so i had to remove it. ; 3; i didnt know what kind of spider it was and i didnt want my dog running into it and getting hurt, you know? :C they dont seem to be aggressive until provoked. so im sure its not a big deal. C:
this sounds a little personal but do you live in the north east united states? because thats where i am and thats where this little bugger is. :P

Eep! Spiders!

I'm not good with spiders, but I'm damn sure I've seen ones like that before... I think they're just a version of house spider, nothing too special if so...
Where in the world are you? I'm in West Australia and I've definitely seen a few of them.

Which is why I think it's probably a version of house spider, 'cause they're common all over the place, especially in warmer and or dryer ciimates I think, a little research shows spiders are more common inside houses near winter, and more common in general in warmer climates, stands to reason assuming south WA and Michigan climates are similar (hot and dry summer, cold wet winter) then it could be that widespread.
One thing I do have to point out though, a dime isn't that big... not really... I mean THIS is what we get in our homes sometimes:

Not everything is bigger in Texas... *shudders*

I wouldn't even get it in a glass tank, I kill them with pizza and other assordted boxes... after spending 20 mins trying to stop shaking and guessing where it's gonna run off to (they are really damn fast, like 4-5 body lengths a second)... Although admittedly there's one that scares me more, of course the RedBack: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/59/2.....bda3aa0f_o.jpg
Smaller than the Huntsman, but like everything else from australia, so it can kill you! (Huntsman Spiders are actually non-venomous). By comparison your little house spider-thing is adorable :3

OH GOD I HATE THE FAST ONES. ; 3; theyre really hard to catch. > n< and i want to make sure theyre gone before i do anything,
the redbacks are really pretty. but i wouldnt want one in my house. ; 3; [<--- i do a lot of crying when i talk about spiders. xD;; i like them but theyre scary.]
and yes, i agree. . u. i just want to know what it was doing putting its legs over its head. o: its really confusing.

I've heard of crazy cat ladies... please don't invite me over when you're older :S
I kid I kid, honestly, it'd have to be the only spider in existence to ever show an emotion, but the emotion they most seem to show me is rage, which is why I kill them and don't catch them.
Show me a praying mantis though and I'll gladly catch 'em and show them off.

Im not a spider expert in any means, but this spider looked really cool when I saw it on the homepage so I had to take a look. Really cool pictures hehe :3 I took a little bit to google search to see if I could find out what it is, could it possibly be a Cat-Faced Spider? " http://careymoonbeam.files.wordpres.....=300&h=300 " Reason I ask this is because the abdomen has a fairly similar shape to it and the legs have a similar two tone colouring to them.
If that is possibly what it is, it is a harmless species of spider, not venemous, but it can still bite of course. :3 Thats my two cents, if it isn't the species that you have found here, I hope you can figure it out, it actually looks kinda cute! X3

well, it seems like that spider has two bumps on its abdomen and this one didnt. so unfortunately, thats probably not my spider. with so many people looking at this, im sure there will be someone who knows. but thanks so much! : D when i find out ill let you know. ^ ^
