I get the idea, but it needs something more to... I dunno, work in my mind. Not in terms of drawing or anything, I know this is a mock-up. But, in terms of color balance and such. Right now it reminds me too much of a t-shirt with a picture on it.
Like, I think you should either plan on adding some kind of thorny or rose-stem kind of border around the shape of the guitar, or, which would be much more insanely difficult, paint the neck green and the top of it white.
Maybe you could also do the rose in a sepia tone, so it'd match the browns of the guitar. I dunno, it's a cool concept, but right now, it feels way too graphic designy but doesn't seem like it wants to be. you know?

1. sand down the body
a. replace wiring
b. replace pickups
2. repaint with matte black
3. paint on rose
4. coat with polyurethane or somthing like it... 4 times...
5. new knobs at top and plexiglass pickguard.
6.(if i can afford it) new inlays with roses on them
7. rose on the head part... it will be beautiful!

its not for the black, its for the look. I don't like sunburst... I might do a different thing, but this is not staying that horrid color...
