*climbs up a giraffe's neck and sits on it's head with a mega-phone*
I THOUGHT I'D TRY A NEW STYLE FOR THIS ONE!!!!
*climbs down and gives the mega-phone to the local Samaritans*
Yeah, as I were saying. I've been trying to find a way of combining a hybrid of traditional and digital art for a while. A good couple of years at least. But my last method was extrememly time consuming and always ended up that the digital side dominated the mixture.
But finally, after much hard thinking and treading on red ants, I've finally found a solution I'm happy with.
Ingredients: Sugar, starch, faber castell pencil crayon, faber castell indian ink, photoshop CS4, water, vegetable concentrate, a bag of buttons, a minature tea-pot, and lots of BASKNESS
^_^
please let me know what you think of the style, as I may end up using it more in the future *wags head* I mean, *wags tail* EEEEEEEEEEEEEEH SCHMECKLES!
P.S. *high five to any other poi lovers* ;D
*goes to invent wellingtons for octopus's*

Yeppers, sure thing. It's a complete mixed media piece. My fursona was made of four layers; A sketch, an inked version, a traditionally coloured version (faber castell pencil crayon), and digitaly coloured layer. I raised the Gama of the sketched lines to give that dark grainy effect. I used the inked lines to broaden the outlines. The pencil crayon gives a rough fur effect, and the digital colour was to brighten the whole character and fill in any missing areas.
The flames of the poi were a combination of marker pen and a photograph.
As for the background; the trees are a photo from my bedroom window which I took all the colour from to create a silhouette. The sky is water colour + digital colour. And the grass was a digital brush layered over oil pastel ^_^
All of which I edited in photoshop
