I know is none of my business, but are these 2 things other factors that keep you from trying to play WoW?
1-The online playtime fee.
2-Getting addicted to the game/"losing your soul to the game".
Again sorry for poking my nose here. Just another fan of the game sadly.

My 2 reasons are the main reason people dont play it. I think is a negative yet kinda accurate stereotype of the game. Truth is people blame the game when they should blame them self for not having control over it.
I play it because I have nothing better to do at the moment and I love RPG games. Much to the surprise of some I get bored of it sometimes but I play it at least every day for a few hours before doing something else.

Well, your #! is more important than #2. I still play on on Tapestries from time to time which is free. But there are times I struggle to make sure I have enough money to keep myself fed with a roof over my head. Most week days the routine is get up, echeck e-mail and FA, get dressed and go to work, check email again and look around FA, type up stories and then go to bed with a shower or wash in between as needed. The other part is I'm not particularly crazy about the story line. At least when I do stuff like Pathfinder, Mutants and Masterminds or Savage Worlds I have the option of making the who world furry. If Ironclaw ever made an MMORPG I'd be more tempted to sign on to that.
I guess part of me liking the game is having so much time to play it since I cant be out on my own roof yet despite my age due to a lot of personal stuff but the other part of me liking the game is just... is kinda hard to say. What first drove me to keep playing was how my Tauren kept learning new stuff and I wanted to see how those new abilities/spells worked and see new areas. I guess the other thing was that I love my Taurens or the race in general and seeing them fight baddies 10 times their size is just the coolest thing ever. I guess those are some of the few reasons I keep playing, The game is far from perfect, I dont like the 14.99$ monthly fee but the game is just right for me and it keeps me going back even after I've done everything possible there. (which I haven't yet and never will)
I'd say so much more but I dont to ramble on or sound like I want to "convert" you to the game.
