I finally made it back to the Bristol Renaissance Faire after two years! And just barley as I made it back for the closing day of the season.
It was nice and cool (barley 60 degrees) so i decided to stay in costume for the entire day. It was packed, and I couldn't go more than a few feet before I would get mobbed with people wanting photos and kids wanting to battle me.
Oh, how I wish I could go every weekend!

It is aluminum, I couldn't imagine carrying that sort of weight in steel. At 22 pounds, it's heavy enough! Not sure on the size of the rings, but 1/4 inch sounds right. It's not all bright and shiny, there are a handful of gray anodized rings in there that create a dragon wing pattern (it just doesn't photograph well)
