Say hello to my new motorcycle.
Moira.
She's a 1981 GS750L.
Very nice, comfortable, and amazingly powerful (To me. Mind you, I just stepped up from a 450)
A little bit of background... Well, I was having a bear of a time getting Simone to run right... Was trying to sell her and someone popped up and offered to trade me their non-running 750 for my poorly running 450. I looked over, made the trade, and set to making this run. Turns out... Just had to plug it in. I kid you not. The only thing keeping it from running was an unplugged kill switch. Throw in a carb cleaning and she runs like a dream!
There was enough wrong with the cosmetics (surface rust, peeling paint, peeling chrome, ect...) that I didn't feel bad in making this into another post-apoch bike to replace Simone.
Current mods? Pod filters, rejetted carbs, sissy bar, my old medic saddle bags.
To do:
On/Off road tires, headlight guard, ammo can panniers, stiffer/taller rear shock. Small windshield/faring.
Possible future: Drastic headlight mods (eliminate headlight in favor of tiny LED projectors), full LED conversion. 4-1 exhaust (with rejet).
But here we are! I love the survival bike style too much to let Simone be my only one ever. So I traded her to a bigger one to be a better bike!

Very nice! A 750 is a good size, and will get you anywhere you need to go. Maybe not as smooth a ride as an 1100, but it'll do. I have a 650 myself, and they're not much different. ^^
Lol, another Fallout reference? This time to 3 - Moira's the name of the researcher girl who runs the junk shop/general store in Megaton. Very nice choice. :D
It's a good, solid looking bike. I'm happy for you that the only non-operational piece was the kill switch. For bikes that's the equivalent of realizing the cord wasn't plugged into the wall, lol.
Ride hard, ride well and ride safe, dear. :)
