A couple doodles I did of an imp and a goblin.
Imps in wayfarer are adorable little things that are basically the abyss' woobie. They're completely physically defenseless - they're too small to be a significant threat to anyone but a particularly weak baby. Their strength is in their magical ability - their spell casting ability is often leaps and bounds above the status quo.
Still, they serve as underlings to more powerful demons who aren't shy of kicking them around. It's common for them to have keys pierced onto their tailtips that lead to particularly important artifacts - banking on the imp's cowardly nature to protect the key.
(The imp design is heavily inspired by Jynx from monster tale. he's so cute |3)
Goblins in wayfarer are something I'm not entirely sure about. I'm thinking that instead of being the ridiculous little evil things that they are in pathfinder and D&D that they'll be more or less harmless, but have an unreasonable love for mischief that often ends in more than one person getting hurt. I figure they're likely somewhat tribal in society, and they are capable of some level of technology, but it's construction is usually laughably low quality.
Then on top of regular goblins I'm thinking of some sort of fallen goblin sort of thing - with beady little eyes and mottled, darker/purplish skin that are outright evil and aren't having a good day until someone else is having a horrible one.
I'm also likely to mess with their proportions some more. They look a bit too much like halflings with tails right now.

Do Imps often have a problem with people randomly cuddling them and keeping them forever?
Also, I was thinking about Goblins in general, and wondered if it might be fun to have them as a small unit, working as one. A Goblin Mob, if you will. They have an incredible talent for cooperation, and even 'adopt' other races into their mob at times.
I dunno, maybe it's stupid but it seemed original to me.
