Somewhat of a backstory to this one.

A long time ago, I caught a disease. It destroyed brain tissue, rotted the ears away, and generally nuked the body. As far as medicine was at the time, the only way to survive would to be put in stasis (be it magically or technologically induced). I obviously took that route and survived....after hundreds of years.

As far as the disease went, it was isolated to an island and was rediscovered many years from then.

The treatment process was comprised mostly of augmenting the body and reprogramming and upgrading white blood cells.


And so he smiles contently in this one as he is able to continue his life. He originally had a tear in his eye to signify his sorrow of having no loved ones in the current time, but I removed that.
