OK, first of all, I really messed this on up!! I somehow saved it on a low resolution, when I had done ALL the line art with took me ages. So long, in fact, I kept it at the low resolution (after some cursing) and carried on.
But the good side is, I got to practice a more simple style. I don't really have as much of a fur effect on this piece as I would have liked, but it gave me a chance to have a softer approach to it. Without being big-headed, I think it came out better than I expected!
Basically, this is based on the first film, after Po has his little talk with Master Oogway. Just as the Turtle goes, he hits the tree, and it falls into Po's hand. In my opinion, Po, being as he is, wouldn't eat this peach, but would keep it as a trophy instead! I see it would also give him a bit of hope as well, which is why he is smiling and walking back to his room. I can't imagine he slept at all that night, but stayed up, maybe even exploring the Palace and stuffing his face with food!! Love him!! X)
Anyway, I know it is a little messy with the lighting and all, especially with the floor, but I actually don't care! I got the effect I was after, and I'm not going to change it!

And you know, once I thought about this I realized how much sense him not eating the gift peach makes. After all, he eats when he's upset, and he had to have been made less upset, since he had clearly been motivated and encouraged by Oogway's words. And then there's the trophy thing, which he'd totally do, due to his rampant fanboyism. :P So this was a fantastic, in-character idea.
Well I dunno if you notice, but when Oogway knocks the Peach into his hand and walk away, as Po watches him, he kinda rubs the Peach a bit with his thumb. This is why I thought he found this particular peach a lot more important than all the rest he had eaten :D. I can imagine him keeping it, even when it goes bad! XD. He is soo devoted to his heroes!!!
