So, I was watching 
ssn_inc earlier today and he was fiddling with some methods I'd never tried before so I asked about them and decided to give it a go.
I'm enjoying the results, so far. Using the Acrylic brush in SAI with some settings that give me some good blending. I just gotta push the light and shadow extremes more and it'll really start turning out.
