This commission actually started out as one of those "Your character here" deals, but I've been kind of pondering what sort of cloths Cassandra would wear, when she had to, and this outfit seemed perfect for her.

Every time I see purple clothing in my submissions now, I automatically think it's one of your girls!
I absolutely love those leggings, and the outfit looks stylish, too. I'm supposed to have a shrug laying around somewhere here that looks just like that, but I doubt I could find a dress short enough to match the look exactly!

*Grins* I do have a rather inordinate fondness for that color, I admit. I can never resist the chance to dress my girls, and some of my boys, in purple.
It's a lovely outfit. Sadly, I have nothing like it at all, and I probably wouldn't look nearly as good in it as Cassandra does if I did. But I thought it looked beautiful on her, and I may just have to dress her in something similar in the future.

It's good to have a style change on your characters every once in a while. Goodness knows most of my characters have been wearing the same outfits for every time they've been drawn, but luckily it's in context in most of the cases! I did think Cassandra looked good like that, though, and I think you might be selling yourself a little short if you think you couldn't good in it. I understand where you're coming from though. I've seen a few extra long shirts double as short dresses for people.

Well, I don't think there's anything wrong with having a favorite outfit, or one that's standard for a particular character. My Ciara, for example, seems to almost always default to her red tunic and black trousers these days, and Megan (the rabbit) generally wear skirts. But it is fun to let them try on different outfits once in a while, especially if it's something you don't have the figure for, or wouldn't be able to afford. As for me? It's sweet of you to say so, but I don't think I'm really made for elegant clothes like that. But maybe, one of these days, I'll get brave enough to try something like that on. (Though I still haven't even been brave enough to so much as buy a bottle of nail polish.)
I definitely agree with you on over-sized and comfortable clothes, though! I'm all for comfort, whether it's in skirts or jeans, and I think an over-sized shirt can look really good on someone, too.

Oh, I agree. The outfit and the pose really are perfect for her. Well, Cassandra has always known she was cute, so what better way to show it than this? Purple is kind of her signature color, too. (Well, she is very distantly related to royalty. Which will be revealed to all at some point down the line.) I'm glad you like it!
