This was an experiment with gradient maps! Basically I painted the whole thing in black and white and applied gradient maps for insta-color! Though since Photoshop Elements apparently doesn't support layer masks, I could only really apply one gradient, so the eyes and inner ears are just colored normally. ANYWAY, it was a fun experiment and I kinda like it so here it is.

Here's a trick to get masks in elements.
1. Open a PSD file that has a mask layer.
2. Create a new file.
3. drag mask layer to new file.
You can now close the first file and if you want more masks you can hold down the alt key as you drag and drop the mask to the layers you want.
