My entry “To Death with a Smile” International poster Contest to MUMEDI, the Mexican Museum of Design, with support of Adobe Systems & Foundation MUMEDI from México City.
- 3rd place Winner -
It is say our preferences & taste on mascots, it´s a spitting image of ourselves. In my childhood I had a tiny fish, and all days I was watching it just to waiting to see a smile on it.
In México we celebrate the “Day of Dead” Holyday, and Death is our living guest and is playing the leading role in this very living celebration. And my very favorite Holyday of the year.
About the contest, I participated the last year and it was very exciting to share art within 16 Countries.
If you´re interested then visit the Official site of the Museum (there’s all info in English too)

Ah... Día de los muertos.
Just wanted to say that the way you rendered the luminesence of the fishbowl is excellent. Even the detailwork of the graveyard inside of the bowl doesn't go unnoticed.
My only criticism is that Death's hands don't look like they're holding the fishbowl. Almost appears as if it were floating in the air. Perhaps if his skeletal fingers had been 'flayed' out a bit more to emphasize his grasping of it might've helped.

Me encanta!
