The A-10 worthog is an interesting peace of machinery. Especially since it is an accessory for a GAU-8.

And yet the GAU-8 can cut a tank in half. The A-10 can still fly if it has been cut in half (she has survived missile strikes and came home).

Also the tank crew would be dead before it would hear the sounds of the A-10.
The A-10 are awesome to see.

Agreed. I watched a few test firings of the A-10 on youtube. I saw the rounds hit then what sounded like a fart...
It was agreed that the targets shitted their pants after the 30mm fell upon them.

I think in a military fiction (probably wrote by Tom Clancy or Larry Bonds) the Russians call these "Devil's Cross" for they somewhat resembles to the Roman Catholic cross emblem or something like that.

Heh. I work on A-10s and I'm originally from Arkansas. It feels kind of roundabout.

I also had no idea Fort Smith had A-10s. :/ If I had gone guard I could have still worked on these things and been close to home. Oh well.

It must be amazing and never racking just to work on such an kickass aircraft!

Well, the 188th Fighter Wing is losing them. Replacing them is Drones.
