A very neat idea. She's like my digital characters.

They have some solid areas but most of their bodies are transparent with some glowing, like, Annie Virus: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1419935/

Demeana came about from an artist that I watch. When I was making her, I tried to find the character in my iPhoto library, as I thought I downloaded it, but I couldn't find her. So I went with what I remembered. The jagged mouth with the eerie pink glows adds to the effect. The evil aura was just an outer glow on her layer. I figured I wanted something that would just add a powerful sense of evil just radiating out of her.

As for art programs, did you ever try EasyPaint Tool SAI? It's around $50+/-.

Ah, I see! And I actually just got a trial of it, trying it out for now. :) I like the brushes in it a lot better than the stuff in PS, it's a lot easier to use.
