Picture of Pancake and her mate Juggernaut or "Jugger" as I like to call him.
Jugger is a bit of an odd Gecko, twice as large as any normal male should be also bit of a fatty as well but still knows how to dash for his food. Big old lummox if you ask me but very friendly, likes to get chin and back rubbings <3
WORD OF ADVICE:
Take it from someone who has taken studies in reptile care and behavior, If you ever want to own reptiles these are the best to start with, please forget Iguana's, Chameleons and Basilisks.....A lot of folks buy these cause they are "cool" but regret it in the end for they are very sensitive and quite hard to keep them alive if you don't know what you are doing.

I own 3 leo's and they are a joy to have :) Course I am not allowed to own a male yet since my husband is uncomfortable with the idea of breeding. But it is my plan to one day breed. Also my 3 girls get fed outside their tank in a separate container so they can all get the same amount of food (no worry about one lizard getting a majority of the food). It can be hard to "train" them to understand what the feeding tank is for, but eventually they catch on and even look forward to being handled in hopes of being put in the feeding container. Meh listen to me ramble LOL
Breeding is a lot of work and takes quite a load of patience, and with Leo's it's considered easy but I got several generations out of these two. But these days I don't do that anymore since it takes out a lot of the female.
I don't handle my Leo's unless I really have to, picking them up no matter how many times you have done it before causes some level of stress and too much will kill them in the end. When feeding I sit by and make sure they all get their share, it takes little time and remains fun to watch, if they don't want to eat the food goes back in the box and I try the next day.

Trust me I don't take them out and treat them like the traditional pet (I got my 2 rats if I want to do that). But with three girls in one tank it is hard to keep track of how many crickets each one gets. And while I have 2 that are battling the fight of the bulge I got one that needs to get more than the other two. About the only time they are handled is during tank clean up and feeding. Other than that they are left alone. Though one of them tries to climb my hand/arm since she always tries to get out every chance she gets.
Glad to hear that, in all my years I have seen way too many people treating their lizzies like hamsters and the poor things are sated with stress to the point they don't want to eat anymore. Far too many pets die this way due to their owners who just don't know how to handle them.
Hehe yeah Leo's can be quite the escape artists, Pancake always tries to sneak out but once she is out on the floor she gets scared and wants to go back in, Jugger on the other hand would probably love to scour the house floor in search of tasty tidbits ;D

Pancake and Jugger are great names BTW :)
I treat all my reptiles with care and rarely hold them (except KyJinn my bearded dragon) beyond just feeding and cleaning (or the occasional help with shedding). My bearded dragon is almost 7 years old now and I am convinced he enjoys coming out when I go to buy pet supplies in general. Not to mention the reptile expos I visit several times a month. He seems to perk up a great deal when we get into the car.
