how do you make lineart look so clean? I started doing line-less because my lineart always looks so wiggly and nasty, and it just doesn't look right >_<

It all depends on what your using to draw with. I have a pressure sensitive tablet and for the lineart I'm using software called sai

mmmhmmm, fair enough... I'm using a really old tablet that I found collecting dust, so I gave it new life... cleaning it up, taking off the protective plastic thing, cleaned it off, put it back on, and am using it till it runs itself into the ground (which is soon seeing as in some positions it'll cut out... silly cord!)


I do want to get myself a wacom, and SAI as well.... buuut, I still need to slightly outline anatomically correct things... can't do it by eye just yet... otherwise it's all wonky... only reason my pics are anatomical is because I will outline something, and then re-sketch over the outline... (I don't use other artwork... but I do use posemaniacs)


I wish I was a better artist than I am atm... problem is? I learned to run before I could walk... so now I'm doing things in huge detail and lighting, and shading and etc... without being able to draw an anatomically correct person/anthro/feral by eye :/

I dunno what to do to get less reliant on outlining :/

Just take it one picture at a time. There's nothing wrong with reference pics but if you are just drawing over the top of them then you won't really learn much. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. I make soo many but I know with time I'll just keep getting better so practice practice practice
