I personally love the new icon as it does show that things aren't all about sex and funny shennanigans that come with the sex...it's also about Mecha and Liena developing and expanding as a couple.

I think it's the hair. Which to me...looks like one of those covers you see on old romance novels. Where the guy has long hair that's waving in the wind.
Which does make them look a lot more feminine...especially if you can't see their bodies which are pretty buff so you know they are guys despite the hair.
