This is where my spriting skills stand right now. Mostly because this is the newest spritework I created. I'm quite proud of it, though. Not the ground, that was rushed. But the sprite and portrait of me took some work, the sprite more than the other. Not sure what bittage this would be. The sprite I think contains 22 colors, thereabouts.
I included a larger version for detailed viewing.
Time ~3 hours, 25 minutes
PS: I was using the top-left 50x50 pixels as my avatar at deviantART.

looks awesome ^-^ though tere was initially some confusion between whether your nose was your mouth or not x3
the only thing I can think of as far as improvement would be, mebbe if you made the eyes one pixel taller, and moved the base down to the base of your mask, and kept the pupils at the bottom, but only 2 pix tall, it'd look a bit better ^-^
