Originally drawn last October.
The stars are shining, the moon is full, a subtle breeze is blowing, and there's an unexpected friend to enjoy the night with.
This is without a doubt the best thing I've drawn so far. Which is also a bad thing, considering how long it's been since I've drawn it. Anyway, this is a remake of this: *click*
Not bad for six month's time. If I would draw as often now as I did last year, I'd be twice as good. But I digress.
This started out a bit worrying. The wolf's head was turning as round and smooth as the original's, and at the same time I didn't want him to look too scruffy. I mean, a hairy wolf in a vest sweater just wouldn't look right. I got it right, though. The frog turned out accidentally good. The shadows are off, I know, as though the moon were just over the hill (as one commentator pointed out). Likewise, I think I made the milky way a bit too big and bright, although the picture is pretty bright as a whole, and the stars don't quite stand out like I had hoped. I am, however, quite pleased with the texture of the wolf's fur and pants. And overall, this is a vast important over the original picture.
Lineart took ~2h, 20min
Coloring took ~7h, 25min. It was the background.
No, I did not attempt to put in any constellations.
