The Amaranthine Throne
First piece I've done as part of the Dark Gemini Project with fellow artist

Versa, one of the two twin demi-gods of mystery, beauty, creativity and duality. Sitting on the throne in his dilapidated shrine. With a little feline friend no less.
I used this piece as a challege for myself. I can be so timid about actually using foreshortening in this manner. I need to do it more and stop being 'scared' of using it XD This one isn't perfect by any means, but hopefully its a good step for me in the process of learning ^^

I guess the lines you are referring to, are partially prevented by what ever is in some of the higher end markers, combined with just working in the areas fairly quickly (before it really dries), Also some of the colour pencils help to smooth it a bit :)
And thanks on the feet, was trying to combine standard paws with something almost hoof-like.

It was created for/as part of the project back in 2002 with the fellow I was originally working on the project with, Liger. They were created to represent duality and purposely made as androgynous creatures, as the theme of the project originally was for us to choose a species and a theme/environment etc. Then one of us would draw the species as one gender while the other would draw the opposite gender. ^^

whilst I *think* the perspective doesnt feel 100% right yet, this piece definitely is an awesome one, even more so for being traditional - I just had to double-take when i read that its not digital XD

is it that? ^^; I duno just the whole picc has that pointed structure you normally just see if you scan a mag page in :3 didnt know thats a way of watermarking^^

This is the stuff that makes me happy. Gorgeous detail, well-thought out, colors are just right for this thing, impressive anatomy and eye for atmosphere and composition. I do think the face is a bit rounder than it should've been but hey, the image is brilliant, nonetheless...

I saw this on yer page and I'm like "woah" then I clicked on it and I'm like "awwww-yeah" then I fullviewed and saw the kitten and i'm like "AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW" and then I saw all the detail an' all da bling and I'm like
"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW YEAH!!!!"
then I died and came back to life to type this comment and now I'm dead agai....

Oh wow, this certainly is something.
No matter if it's not perfect as you said, but the tricky angle, huge amount of detail and suitably moody colors (and also the cute bobcat/cat) make this piece stand out.
A successful challenge to yourself I would say ^..^
...gotta also love those boi-corsets :P
