I started reading the Vampire Diaries two or so weeks ago (I am currently on number four) and Damon is by far my favorite.
I also tried to watch the series (haven't before :O), but I only got past the first episode cause it was the lamest I have ever seen! I am told it gets better later on, but I actually have my doubts :shrug:
Not to mention the humongous errors they made in the looks of the actors, some of them look nothing like their character. And the few parts I have seen - doesn't match the book but by the names.
