This is a commission I did for Lionel. Commissioned at Midwest Fur Fest 2005, there's more to this piece that I'll have to do later.
This is Lionel's LARP character.
I really wanted to do a more dramatic pose, but I kept having problems, so I copped out and went with a standard pose.
His armor is black with gold markings all over it. I'll do that on a print with gold markers/pens and colored pencils, I think.
For now, this is the inked version.
Like recent ones, I also did a mono thickness lineart version too. Then after scanning it, I worked up the lines.
Both are scanned at 600dpi.
Micron pen on HP 110 brightness inkjet paper
Cleaned up on Photoshop CS2.

Though, it really will be nice when it's colored... it's all black or charcoal and the armor is black leather with gold inlays of these gold swirls... Hopefully that'll show up here soon.
The sword was fun to do... and yeah, I like simple too. ^.^ The drawing was pretty loose and it too is going to have color effects (a black blade with a red glow). But I wouldn't mind having that sword either. Sort of a mix between a chinese sword, an english broad sword and a nagamaki with just a little flare on the handle.
