I've known my mate,
sidus, for over fourteen years. We met when we were both in high school on a place called FluffMUCK. Our deep friendship eventually took a romantic turn almost ten years ago, but our relationship ended up being put on hold for a couple of years while I wrestled with coming out and accepting myself for who I was.
When we got back together, and decided we wanted to share our lives, I wrote this song for him, seven years ago. This is the first re-recording of the song since then, and comes with an extra verse at the end.
WARNING: I'm a bad singer, but I'm putting my new microphone through its paces as I try to better my atrophied singing voice.
Comments and critique are always welcome and encouraged. Thanks again for listening ^_^

Instant favourite, from the first two lines.
Speaks so deeply and strongly to this old dragon... not least because of my similar struggles, but also because I'm trying to hide the depth of my feelings for one particular person and... it hurts.
Thank you for sharing this. I wish I had the voice to sing it for you.

Bad singer? Where? I might say 'unpolished' at worst. You have a nice tone and quality to your singing, and the piano is well played. Overall the whole thing is very nice. It sounds like you might have an easier time if you drop the key of the song just a bit as some of the higher notes in it sound like they're going toward the top end of your singing range. It'd also make holding them easier if they're in a more comfortable range. Still, I love the message of the song and its performance.
Hope all dat helps. ^^
