Gee, I think I see what is happening. This might be Taurus' first real fight and she'll allow that, and listening too much to Nightmare, to affect her confidence. She needs to get over the fear, and knock Nighty for a well deserved loop, since I don't believe that that mare is as strong as she seems to be making Taurus think she is.

*picks up a fire extinguisher, walks up behind nightmare, then puts out the fire. points to the no smoking sign hung just outside of frame that just suddenly appears and walks away while everyone there still has a O.o look on their face. once outside he breaks out laughing that the joke actually worked* :P sorry could not resist, reminds me of a cartoon joke ala the mask.
