It's only been 2000 years to mark a great time of lost history. Do not expect the future will bright bright rainbows and sunshine. An entire people, their knowledge and experiences can be lost in moments the same as we share typing these witty and passive aggressive rebuttals to one another online. But to assume anything, especially man-man, will last an eternity is silly.
Our recording technology has improved over "oral tradition".

Oh Steve...I remember playing on the family's old mac (don't know the version). Starwars X-Wing. Starwars Rebel Alliance & Rebel Alliance 2. Those were some of the best days of my life, made possible by you and your work.
And the iPods/iPads/iPhones were amazing. While it's true I only got an iPod (for music), it was certainly worth the investment.
We will all miss you Steve Jobs. Thank you for helping to push technology to where it is today. We will never forget you.

He'll live through his work. I may loath Apple, and ideas which they got from me, but I could not do what I do today without him. Nothing. Here dies one of the last great fathers of the most important advance in human history. Puns will be made, and jabs common, but let them not forget that he has had an impact beyond what most people ever dream to achieve and he did it right.
While I myself would never use an apple product, personal preference, I do have to say that if it were not for Steve jobs the computer industry would be years behind at least. Lets all hope, for the sake of both Mac fanatics and general computer users, that apple will continue to be one of the leading companies for innovative products.
