January 17, 2010: "I was at work today killing time by working on this picture of Iratu. There was a young student in the staff room with one of his teachers working on a couple of tests. The kid is energetic and friendly, but for some reason he can't attend the classroom lessons like others his age. I think he has problems with being disruptive.

Anyway, in between tests he came up and saw me drawing. I told him that Iratu was my comic character, and he was fascinated by my tablet. I let him try it out and he doodled a bit. At one point he started drawing pictures of monsters on paper for me to redraw on the computer, making them look "more cool".

The photograph at the top is the dragon that he drew on a piece of scrap paper. He kept adding details for me to draw after seeing how I would interpret them in the quest to make his dragon look cooler. Then he requested that I make "that wolf guy" ride the dragon. Then we colored it together.

Thus, the coolest dragon was born."

Iratu is my original character and he is from Slightly Damned, but that dragon is the creation of the little boy from Washisho. He insisted that I use the dragon in my comic, though!
