Sculpted Prototyping Preview
Heya! Ok this is what I prepared for another prototyping test. I want to see how well the small details will come through. This is a rendering without textures to judge the surface and topology, the final model will have textures.
The focus definitely was the preparation for a 3D printer (closed solids, thickness, normals etc.) and not so much the render looks.

Well in my opinion,
the difficulty comes from learning how to properly use the software,
AND your judgement as an artist,
someone could easily grasp the concepts of using 3D software,
but its another thing entirely to properly be able to use it to make something beautiful

My friend was talking to me a while ago about 3D printers, they're pretty nifty but limited in size - What's the size of this model and the max printing dimensions of the printer? Because if this is indeed from a smaller than cubic 1 meter 3D printer, the detail is astonishingly well done and the printer must be of a very, very high quality.
