Temporary file: Coolant system possible problem
This is a temporary file to help a fur in need ^^ http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2795844/
You maybe have a problem with the thermostat, if your car overheats really fast, then it might be the head gasket.
I don't know what the gray substance might be =S
The thermostat is situated on the Cylinder head, and has a big hose that leads to the radiator, when your engine heats up, you can try (carefully of course) touch that hose:
-If it's warm: the problem is somewhere else
-If it's cold: the thermostat is bloked and the coolant stucks inside of the engine and doesn't reach the radiator.
I hope this can help ^^

if engine heats up too fast, check that you have fluid, check that the fan is spinning, check that the waterpump works correctly, and check that none of the hoses are either clogged or bend too sharply, also that you don't have air in your system.
(also, not on all cars the thermostat are located on cylinder head)

Yhea, of course cheeking that other things are important, but if that guy has flushed the system, probably he cheeked the hoses, i don't have too much info of the case lol
And by the way, the thermostat HAS to be in the cylinder head, becouse the cold water enters in the engine from the bottom part (and most of the heat in the engine is in the cylinder head)
